ROBINS, Iowa (KCRG) – A 13-year-old boy was flown to the University of Iowa hospitals and clinics after a skateboarding accident on Saturday.
According to the authorities, a 17-year-old relative was driving a vehicle around 11:28 a.m. while the 13-year-old was sitting on a skateboard and holding onto the rear of the vehicle.
Officials say the trunk lid fell off, hit the boy, and dropped him on the ground near the 2800 block on Wildflower Road.
The boy was transported by Lifeguard Air Care due to non-life threatening injuries.
The rall helped respond to the incident.
