CALIFORNIA, Maryland – We are receiving reports of a multiple vehicle accident in the Patuxent Beach Road area.

At around 8:01 pm on September 12, first responders were called to the crime scene on the 45,000 block on Patuxent Beach Road in the Kingston Creek Road area for reports of a three-car accident.

Upon arrival, the emergency services discovered the crashed vehicles, one of which had come off the road.

Shortly thereafter, first responders turned to the State Highway Administration for help and asked for sandbags to stop a fluid that had been spilled on the road after the accident.

A patient with non-life-threatening injuries is currently being transported to hospital. Two affected patients have signed a refusal of treatment, while another person is being examined by the emergency services on site.

The road has been temporarily closed. Expect delays and be careful when traveling to the area.

This is a developing story. We’ll keep sharing more details as they become available.
