Follansbee, W. Va. (WTRF) – The Blue Wave will reappear in Follansbee – this time not as a sports team.

The old middle school is being converted into a holistic health center.

A variety of fitness and wellness activities are planned to be carried out – from common workouts like Zumba to darker treatments like cryotherapy.

And that’s only on the first floor – there will be office space on the second floor to economically expand the area.

The project’s founders say they want Follansbee to stand out from those looking for a workout.

“We want something that could bring people to Follansbee, bring more people to town, and have another reason for someone to say, ‘I have to go to Follansbee today. “

Joey Ewusiak, Bluewave Center

“I am trying to bring this holistic area, this holistic experience into the Bluewave Center and not only take care of your body, but also your mind and soul.”

Andrea Baggott, massage therapist and fitness trainer

They’ll be offering both individual and family membership plans and hope to have it all ready by the end of March.
