BMW Group UK has launched a new Accident Assistance Service to coordinate vehicle restoration, repair and an insurance claim for BMW and Mini owners in the event of a collision.
The new service is available free of charge to BMW and Mini drivers of all ages and is automatically activated by software already installed in newer vehicles. Owners of older models can ask for help via a 24/7 hotline.
The system not only offers a stress-free solution for motorists, but also ensures that vehicles are repaired in an approved BMW body shop.
The drivers then have access to an online portal where they can book their vehicle repairs at a convenient time and track their repair and the progress of the insurance claim.
In a statement by the German premium car brand on the introduction of the new offers this week, it says: “The drivers receive a link through which they can submit pictures of vehicle damage on site. If the vehicle is no longer ready to drive, the Accident Support will do this. Organize an immediate restoration in a BMW or MINI approved body shop and ensure further mobility.
“In the event of no-fault accidents, the accident support team will make an insurance claim on behalf of the driver and fully manage this process.”
The new service from BMW is operated in cooperation with Enterprise Rent-A-Car and supported by the Entegral technology platform Enterprise and CAPS.
