“Back pain is very common, especially in the lower back,” she explains. “About four in five adults have back pain at some point * and can range from mild to severe (for which you would need to see a family doctor).

“You can take steps to reduce your risk of back pain. This includes regular exercise, maintaining a healthy weight, taking care of lifting, and making sure your mattress has adequate support.

For those of us who are prone to headaches, Taz offers some useful tips:
- Drink plenty of water every day to stay well hydrated.
- Try to stick to a normal sleep pattern and get plenty of restful sleep.
- Eat healthy and balanced meals regularly, as hunger can cause headaches.
- Think about your posture as bad posture can also be a cause.
- Consider meditation or mindfulness to relieve your daily stress. Stress can cause muscle tension in the shoulders, which can lead to headaches.
- Whenever you watch television or a screen, rest your eyes every 20 minutes or so by briefly looking at something further away.

“Migraines can cause a strong throbbing or throbbing sensation on one side of the head,” explains Taz.
“If you have a tension headache, you may feel pressure, tightness, or a squeeze around your forehead behind your eyes. Cluster headaches can cause severe pain on one side of your head, usually around the eye.
“And sinus headaches *** are usually felt in the forehead, cheeks, and bridge of the nose.”
