Boulder County, CO (June 18, 2021) – A car accident reported on Friday afternoon west of Boulder took at least one person to a local hospital for treatment for injuries. On June 18 at around 2:09 p.m., emergency services were notified that an accident had occurred on Colorado State Highway 119.
Reports from the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) show that an inter-vehicle collision blocked area only 8 miles on both the north and south sides of Colorado State Highway 119 between County Road 54A and Sugarloaf Road near mile marker 33 west of Boulder. The emergency services spent a long time evacuating the accident site and restoring the flow of traffic.
At least one person was injured in the accident. Medical service employees reacted at the scene of the accident and assisted the victims before transporting them to surrounding hospitals for further care. The incident is currently under investigation.
