HOMER, NY (WSYR-TV) – A Cincinnatus man died after a serious accident involving a U-Haul truck in Homer city on Thursday.

55-year-old Michael J. Knickerbocker was driving a Chevrolet Impala that was traveling southwest on State Route 13 when he encountered the parked truck. The truck stopped at the roadside and delivered.

Knickerbocker was taken to Guthrie Cortland Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

There were two people inside the U-Haul. One of the people was in the back of the truck at the time of the crash, picking up a package. She was taken to the Upstate Medical Center with a headache and neck pain.

The police are continuing to investigate this crash.
