High Point, NC (June 12, 2021) – A passenger was injured in a car accident that occurred at High Point earlier this week. The crash was reported on Tuesday, June 8th at around 3:30 a.m. on Interstate 85 near the Surrett Drive exit.
The High Point Police Department responded to the scene of the accident. According to a report by Officer MP Snider, Shae Trogdon of Thomasville was driving high speed on I-85 when she lost control of the car. The vehicle veered off the lane to the right and hit a guide wire and a tree before coming to a stop. Trogdon’s car was badly damaged in the crash. Her co-driver, Anthony Lambeth, was injured in the accident. Lambeth received local emergency medical attention before being rushed to High Point Regional Hospital for treatment for undisclosed injuries. Trogdon was not injured in the accident.
Following an investigation, Trogdon was charged with exceeding a safe speed. There is no evidence that impairments played a role in the crash.
