SCOTLAND, Md. – Emergency units responded to a late evening accident that left a car in the woods.

At around 9:21 p.m. on February 28, fire and rescue personnel responded to the 11551 Point Lookout Road area for reports of a vehicle that had crashed into a tree with a patient still in the vehicle.

Upon arrival, the units were able to remove the patient from the vehicle. Once the patient was visited for injuries, it was determined that no treatment was required and forms for refusal of care were signed on site.

The department was able to resume work at 9.45 p.m.
