A 69-year-old woman has appeared in court accused of leaving the scene of the accident and driving without due care and attention.
Alison Stafford is prosecuted following an incident involving a Kia Ceed and a Hyundai i30.
Stafford is believed to have driven the Kia on Beaconsfield Road in Norton, causing the Hyundai to be damaged and abandoned on June 28th last year.
A second charge alleges she drove the car without care and attention.
Stafford appeared before the Magistrates’ Court in Teesside on Tuesday, where she found both charges not guilty.
The judges told Stafford, of Station Road, Norton, that a hearing would be set at a later date and that the case would be adjourned.
The brief hearing lasted around five minutes.
