Logan University has announced a clinical education partnership with the Connor Integrative Health Network of University Hospitals (UH) in Cleveland, Ohio.
The partnership was established by Logan graduate David Vincent, DC (’91), the Buoncore family-endowed director of chiropractic at the UH Connor Integrative Health Network. Dr. Vincent was responsible for introducing chiropractic into the UH organization and has integrated chiropractic into a number of UH institutes such as primary care, sports medicine, and spine and pain therapy.
Dr. Vincent said that being part of a clinical education will allow Logan Doctor of Chiropractic students to scroll through the UH system and gain valuable experience in an integrated health environment.
“Since arriving at UH, I have been looking forward to the time when we as partners can gain clinical experience for interns in chiropractic,” he said. “This collaboration allows students to work with our integrated chiropractic team in pain management, sports medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation while developing an understanding of their role as an integral part of a large healthcare system.”
Jason Goodman, DC (’98), PhD, Director of External Clinical Rotations at Logan, helped create the agreement.
“The affiliation between Logan and the University Hospitals not only offers students another phenomenal clinical experience to learn in a comprehensive inclusive healthcare setting, but also teaches our students to be team players in a multidisciplinary environment and to strengthen their education in evidence-based information, patient-centered care, ”said Dr. Goodman.
