UTTARKASHI: A 24-year-old man died and three others were seriously injured after the car they were driving in fell into a deep gorge in the Thalan village of Uttarkashi on Tuesday evening (January 26).
According to TOI sources, a car with six people on board fell into a ravine nearly 150 meters deep on the Uttarkashi-Lambgaon road. Shortly after receiving the information, the rescue workers arrived and sent all the injured to the district hospital. Later, 24-year-old Gyansu resident Arjun Singh died while receiving treatment.
Devendra Patwal, the district’s civil protection officer, said: “A local resident died in the accident. The injured – 19-year-old Pravesh Shah, 21-year-old Deepak Singh and 20-year-old Ankit Panwar – are said to be out of danger. The other two people on board the vehicle survived the accident with little or no injuries. ”
