SIOUX CITY – Mind, body and soul are pampered when more than 40 providers are expected on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Siouxland Expo Center, 550 S. Lafayette St., for the Siouxland Holistic Health & Wellness Fair.
According to Erin Kuehl of Evolve Yoga & Wellness, who organized the fair with Debbie Bernstein LaCroix, this year’s event is an offshoot of the Siouxland Holistic Health Expo, originally started by a massage therapist and former Sioux Cityan Drew Moss.
“(Yoga) gives you the tools to regain or maintain your health and wellbeing, be it physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual,” said Kuehl.
“When people think of health, they only think of physical health,” LaCroix said, adding that emotional and spiritual health are just as important.
Yoga and Qi Gong demonstrations are among the field events at the fair, while the speakers offer programs on everything from tarot reading to herbalism to the benefits of medicinal cannabis.
Sellers sell everything from clothing, gift items, and chiropractic care.
Food trucks are also expected to offer gourmet coffee, Italian cuisine and Mediterranean soul food.
“The Health & Wellness Fair has become almost a festival,” said LaCroix. “There are unlimited possibilities.”
