The condition of a man injured in a March 16 accident on Highway 12 is improving.
Edgar Gomez, 41, from Beach Park, Illinois, is still in the intensive care unit at Froedtert Hospital Wauwatoso, but is mobile, according to his sister Judy Gomez.
“It looks positive. We are in a good mood,” said Judy Gomez.

Edgar Gomez was involved in a two-vehicle accident on March 16 at around 6:30 a.m. in the lane west of Highway 12, west of the Highway 120 flyover.
Captain Mark Moller-Gunderson of the Lake Geneva Fire Department reported on the day of the accident that the accident involved a semi-trailer truck and a car and that the driver of the car, Edgar Gomez, was being taken to Froedtert Hospital by ambulance.
Parts of Highway 12 were shut down for several hours as a result of the accident.
Representatives from the Lake Geneva Fire Department, Lyons Fire and Rescue, the Walworth County Sheriff’s Office and the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the accident.
