In heartbreaking news, National Award-winning Kannada actor Sanchari Vijay passed away on Monday in a private hospital in Bengaluru. He was 38 years old. Sanchari Vijay was in a traffic accident on Friday and sustained serious head injuries. Doctors immediately performed an operation and removed a blood clot from his head. “He’s brain dead and his family must decide whether to donate his organs,” a doctor who treated the actor told reporters.

Sanchari Vijay had gone out to buy medicine with his friend, who was riding a bicycle. During the night at JP Nagar, the motorcycle skidded and hit the bar. The sudden death of Sanchari Vijay left his fans and the entire film industry in shock. The South Indian film industry has also experienced such difficult times in the past. Actors like Shankar Nag, Soundarya and several others also lost their lives in tragic accidents.

Shankar Nag: Still a name to be reckoned with in the Kannada film industry, Shankar Nag died in an extremely unfortunate accident. The actor had an accident in Davangere in 1990 when he was returning from a trip. He was 35 years old at the time.

Soundarya: South and Bollywood actress Soundarya was five months pregnant when she was killed in a tragic plane crash. Soundarya died at the age of 31. She lost her life in 2004 when the plane crashed in which she was traveling with her brother Amarnath. She had visited Bengaluru during an election campaign to support the BJP party. She traveled from Bangalore to Karimnagar on April 17, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. According to reports, the plane they were traveling on caught fire and crashed within minutes of takeoff, killing the actress and her brother.

Sun: In 1994, Kannada actors Malashri and Sunil were in a car accident when their car was hit by a truck. While Malashri sustained multiple injuries, Sunil died within an hour.

Anil and Uday: Kannada actors Uday and Anil drowned while filming the Kannada film Masthigudi and were found 3 days later. Duniya Vijay, who was with them, survived while Uday and Anli drowned in the lake after jumping from a helicopter without safety measures.

My: Tamil actor and mimicry artist Mano died in 2019 after a traffic accident. Mano, who was driving with his wife in the car, lost control of the vehicle and hit a median. Mano died on the spot while his wife suffered serious injuries and was admitted to the intensive care unit. The couple have a seven year old daughter.

Ravi Teja’s younger brother Bharath: Tollywood actor Ravi Teja’s younger brother, Bharath, was killed when his car ran into a stationary truck on the outer ring road near Kothwalguda in Shamshabad. The accident happened late at night in 2017. Bharath, who was alone in the car, died on the spot.
