Almost a week after serious leg injuries from a car accident, Tiger Woods made its first statement.
The statement comes as several golfers at the WGC Workday Championship pay tribute to the 15-time main champion by donning red and black shirts.
“It’s hard to explain how touching it was today when I turned on the TV and saw all the red shirts,” Woods tweeted. “You really help every golfer and every fan to get through this difficult time.”
Woods suffered multiple broken legs and a broken ankle after rolling his vehicle in a car accident in Los Angeles last week.
On Thursday, Woods was taken to Cedars Sinai Hospital for “orthopedic care and recovery.”
