Drunk driving seems to have added another life to the city in the wee hours of Friday. Vishwa Tej, a 26-year-old engineer from Nakakramguda, died while his friend escaped with minor injuries after the car he was driving hit a road mean in Madhapur.
Injured Indrajeet Varma was booked for encouraging Vishwa Tej to drive under the influence of alcohol.
The accident occurred near Metal Charminar around 3 a.m. when Vishwa Tej lost control of the steering wheel and rammed into a street average on the back road. The ill-fated car turned into a turtle and the victim was seriously injured and died on the spot, Madhapur police said. The victim drank alcohol with his friend at the Artistry Pub in the Novotel and returned home. Vishwa Tej was from Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, and planned to start his business in Hyderabad.
